Problems in Philippine prisons seem endless.
Philippine prisons are always, always overcrowded, with jails reaching over 510% of their capacity. With only two or three hearings a year, inmates’ trials can take years, even decades.
To remind them that they are not alone and forgotten, Empower Philippines empowers the prisoners and celebrates important occasions with them, such as Christmas and holds medical, surgical, and dental missions to help relieve them a bit of their difficult plight.
